Going online, being seen, and getting jobs

A provider controls their visibility with the online toggle on the dashboard. While online:

• The app shares the provider’s live location so nearby clients can find them.
• The provider appears in providers near you: on the client’s map and in category lists, sorted by distance, alongside their photo, rating, and services.
• New service requests can arrive at any time, each with its 5-minute acceptance window (Module 2).

Three conditions must all be true for a provider to show up in client searches:

Ratings decide how much work comes in: better-rated providers are seen and hired more, so finishing jobs well (and on time, per the service timer) is the real growth lever.

A handler’s dashboard has three availability states:

While available, the handler’s live position is shared. Restaurants and clients waiting on an order see nearby available handlers as anonymous dots around the restaurant. No name, photo, or exact identity is revealed until a handler actually takes the job. A dot turns green when that handler has applied for the order being watched.

This is how a system-delivery job reaches a handler, end to end:

   When a paid order needs delivery, My Padi broadcasts it to available handlers near the restaurant. Each gets a push notification opening the delivery request: pickup point, drop-off, distance, and the delivery fee on offer.

   Interested handlers apply. The pool closes after 3 minutes, or instantly once 15 handlers have applied. The best-rated applicant wins the job.

   Applying requires enough wallet balance for the security deposit (equal to the order’s value). It is locked only if the handler wins, and returned when the delivery is confirmed (Module 5).

   The winning handler heads to the restaurant. Missing the pickup deadline returns the deposit, removes the handler from that order, and restarts the search (Module 3).

   Once the handler’s proof photo and the client’s confirmation are both in, the delivery fee is paid to the handler’s wallet and the deposit is unlocked. The client then rates the handler, and that rating decides future pool wins.

Beyond system dispatch, a handler can join a restaurant’s delivery team. Team drivers are who the restaurant assigns when it runs self delivery, and its fallback when the dispatch pool finds nobody. For a handler, a team means steady work from a restaurant that already trusts them; for a restaurant, it means delivery people it knows by name.

   From the Delivery Drivers screen, the restaurant searches handlers by name and sends an invite. Working a system job for a restaurant well is the natural way to get noticed and invited.

   The invite appears under Pending Invites on the handler’s My Restaurants screen. Accepting turns the handler into an active team member; ignoring or declining costs nothing.

   The restaurant assigns orders directly● Restaurant● Rider

   On a self-delivery order (or when no handler was found), the restaurant picks a team driver from its list. The same rules as system jobs apply: the driver must have enough wallet balance for the security deposit, the delivery timer starts at pickup, and the client confirms at the door.

Either side can end the partnership: the restaurant can remove a driver from its team, and a handler can leave a team from My Restaurants. Team membership never blocks system jobs: an available team driver still receives dispatch-pool alerts from every other restaurant.
